Return & Exchange Policy

Look, we get it—sometimes things don't work out. Maybe the color looked different on your screen, maybe you ordered the wrong size after that third glass of wine, or maybe you just changed your mind. It happens! We're here to make returns and exchanges as painless as possible.

Our Return Window

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to initiate a return or exchange. After that, we're afraid the ship has sailed (or in this case, the package has been delivered and the return window has closed). We're flexible, but we're not miracle workers.

What Can Be Returned or Exchanged?

Items must meet the following criteria (we're reasonable, we promise):

  • Unused and unworn - We can't resell something that's been used. That's just gross.
  • In original condition - Tags attached, no stains, no pet hair, no evidence of your life on it
  • In original packaging - If it came in a box or bag, please return it the same way
  • Not a final sale item - If it was marked as final sale, that means final. No take-backsies.

Items we cannot accept for return or exchange: Personalized or custom-made items, intimate apparel, earrings (for hygiene reasons), and sale items marked as final sale. Sorry, but some things are just non-returnable.

Exchanges: Because Sometimes You Just Need a Different Size

We love exchanges! Why? Because you still get to enjoy our amazing products, and we get to keep you as a happy customer. Win-win!

How exchanges work:

  • Same item, different size/color: Easy peasy! We'll swap it out for you at no additional cost (assuming the price is the same).
  • Different item entirely: Sure thing! If the new item costs more, you'll pay the difference. If it costs less, we'll refund you the difference. Math is fun!
  • Exchange shipping: We'll send you a return label for the original item. Once we receive it and confirm it meets our return criteria, we'll ship out your exchange item.

Pro tip: Exchanges are processed faster than returns because we're already sending you something new. Plus, you don't have to wait for a refund to hit your account before ordering again. Smart, right?

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

It's simple (we promise):

  1. Contact us at returns@shittaydaydesigns.com with your order number and what you'd like to return or exchange
  2. Tell us why - We're not nosy, we just want to improve! Was it the wrong size? Not what you expected? Your cat knocked it off the table and destroyed it? (Okay, that last one might not qualify for a return, but we still want to know.)
  3. We'll send you a return label within 1-2 business days
  4. Pack it up securely and slap that label on the package
  5. Drop it off at your nearest shipping location
  6. Wait for confirmation - We'll email you once we receive and inspect your return

Return Shipping Costs

Let's talk money. Return shipping is a flat $5 fee on returns and no charge for exchanges. If the return is due to our error (wrong item sent, defective product, etc.), we'll cover the return shipping cost—because that's just the right thing to do. If you're returning because you changed your mind or ordered the wrong size, return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Refund Processing

Once we receive your return and inspect it (we're thorough but fair), we'll process your refund within 5-7 business days. The refund will go back to your original payment method.

Please note: Depending on your bank or credit card company, it may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account. We know waiting is annoying, but that part is out of our hands. Take it up with your bank (just kidding, they won't care either).

Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or defective, we are so sorry! That's not the Shittay Day experience we want you to have. Contact us immediately (within 48 hours of delivery) with photos of the damage, and we'll make it right with a replacement or full refund. No questions asked, no hoops to jump through.

Wrong Item Sent

If we sent you the wrong item (hey, we're human), contact us ASAP and we'll send you the correct item right away. We'll also provide a prepaid return label for the incorrect item. Again, our mistake = we fix it at no cost to you.
